A freedom of information (FOI) request to the Metropolitan Police Service on the rate of domestic violence incidentsC and domestic violence offencesD in London revealed that, in 2012, the rates in Hackney were similar to its statistical peers (Figure 3). Comparable data are not available for the City of London as it is policed by the City of London Police, a separate organisation, not the Metropolitan Police Service, which serves Greater London.
