The rate of births in women aged 15-17 years in City and Hackney is 5.7 per 1,000.2 The absolute number of births at the Homerton, however, is measured for women under 19 years old and it is this figure that is relevant to the caseload of the Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) programme (described in the Local Service Section). There were 58 births to mothers under 19 years of age at the Homerton in 2013/14, and it has since fallen to 42 births in 2014/15.
