Local inequalities data on the physical health of children and young people (CYP) by gender are framed around the following headings:

Substance misuse – alcohol

Long-term conditions – asthma

Long-term conditions – epilepsy 

Long-term conditions – diabetes

 

The prevalence of long-term conditions in Hackney and the City is higher in boys at younger age groups, but the differences disappear by age 15-19 (Figure 9).
